This year's theme is 'Gardens with a Purpose' . We would like to show our community that the projects we help to manage are done so with purpose. That may be to give peace and reflection to those nearing the end of their lives and their caregivers, like at Hildegard House.
At Farmington, we help to maintain a Historic Plantation's ornamental gardens and teach gardening to the community. At Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church, our work is to help maintain the grounds at a 100+ year old community church while growing vegetables for donation to areas of food scarcity within our county.
At each Garden Site, we will be hosting a table where donations are accepted and demographics are collected (Demographic Table) Each Project Manager may want to schedule their specific gardeners to answer questions about the garden's purpose (Tour guide)
Sign up to help at the garden of your choice. Thank you!

Time to install the native plant garden at St Mary Academy!
The installation date is Thursday, May 15th from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Rain date will be 5/20 8:30 am - 10:30am
We'll be working with the two 3rd grade classes - one class at a time - to plant 50ish plants.
So that we can limit the number of bodies in the planting area, there will be other 'stations' to keep the students busy. One station will be creating Thank You cards for St Agnes' donations to their garden. Another station will have them planting annual seeds in cups to plant a little later. The last station will focus on beneficial insects with a worksheet or book to read.
Please sign up to help at a station. Thank you! CLICK HERE

Maryellen will communicate with the work group via a group text every Sunday before the Tuesday work day. This text will confirm work days and Maryellen would request the volunteers also confirm if they are available to help each week.
Hilary Bergren is looking for help on this day and as an on-going addition to her pool of help for every other Friday at the LNC Rain Garden.
Please email bergrenh@gmail.com if you’d like to become a member of this volunteer team, or can volunteer occasionally. Thanks.
We will be in the Sensory Garden each Wednesday 9-11 am from March through October, weather permitting.
Please email Janie Kanzler, janiekanzler@icloud.com, with any questions or if you plan on joining us.
Weather permitting means: No working in the rain or when the temperature is less than 40 degrees or greater than 90 degrees fahrenheit.
We would love to have your help!
Thanks,
Janie Kanzler 502- 262-4052
